Elena Romero

Properties Designer

Elena Romero studied scenic design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating with a BFA in Production Design and Minor in Furniture Design. After graduating she worked as a scenic artist for a theme park and museum fabricating company near Orlando, FL. She returned to the world of theater in 2020 as a props artisan and supervisor for Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, FL. She now resides as the props designer in the Department of Theatre & Film at Ole Miss. As a Florida native, Elena is happy to be in Mississippi to explore different seasons besides a year-round tropical summer. She enjoys being a hands-on artist as well as being in an educational environment.
