A Major in Theatre Arts for the BFA Emphasis in Design & Theatre Production Degree requires 129 semester hours. The following classes are required of all BFA students:
WRIT 100 or WRIT 101 and WRIT 102 or LIBA (6 hours)
200-LEVEL ENGLISH LITERATURE COURSES (6 Hours)
BEHAVIORAL/SOCIAL SCIENCES (6 Hours)
HISTORY (HIS 101, 102 preferred; 6 Hours)
NATURAL SCIENCE (WITH LABORATORIES; 6-8 hours)
MATHEMATICS (from among college algebra, quantitative reasoning, or a more advanced mathematics course; 3 hours)
The design and technology emphasis requires 76 hours of theatre arts courses, comprising the following :

In addition to the core curriculum and theatre arts requirements listed, the BFA with a design and technology emphasis requires elective hours chosen from any area, including theatre arts, to bring the total number of credits to 129 semester hours.
