Lydia Siniard Foster

Adjunct Professor of Dance 

Lydia Siniard Foster is the owner and Artistic Director of Oxford Academy of Dance Arts as well as the founder and owner of Hinge Dance Company, LLC where she also serves as Artistic Director.

In 2005, Lydia moved to Oxford, Mississippi to attend the University of Mississippi where she graduated from Ole Miss in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and minors in Italian and Theatre Arts. While at the University of Mississippi, Lydia danced with Mississippi: The Dance Company where she attended the American College Dance Festival as a dancer and choreographer. She also began Hinge Dance Company as a student-led dance company while attending Ole Miss and eventually made it a professional company to include dancers at Ole Miss and the North Mississippi area.

In 2011, Lydia received her 200-hour yoga certification at Etowah Valley Yoga in Cartersville, Georgia and in 2013 completed her 500-hour certification, Professional Yoga Therapy certification as well as a 100-hour certification in Prenatal Yoga.

Since 2017, Lydia has also served as adjunct faculty at The University of Mississippi where she teaches ballet. She also teaches yoga at Southern Star Yoga Center and Pilates at Core Fitness Oxford. Lydia loves seeing her students of all ages learn and grow in class and in life and she finds it a privilege to be a part of the artistic and fitness communities of Ole Miss and Oxford.
