Lisa Wilson

Costume Shop Assistant

Lisa Wilson is currently the Costume Shop Assistant at University of Mississippi. She recently graduated with her MFA in Costume Design/Technology from Kent State University. She moved to Mississippi after spending eight years costume designing in Cleveland, Ohio primarily for children’s shows and Theatre for Young Audiences.

Her experience teaching introductory sewing, makeup, and design process on an undergraduate level fueled a love for teaching and working with students that grows with each passing year.

Lisa enjoys being able to work with the students as they realize their own skills and passions. She is an unapologetic history nut and is interested in learning as many things as humanly possible. Her special areas of interest include: Historical and natural fabric dying, spinning, weaving, painting, puppetry and crazy quilting.
